How do I inspect my rigging?

[Using scotch brite, clean fittings and inspect for cracks.]

How often should my mast be pulled?

[Once a year preferably, but realistically once every 5 to 8 years depending on percent of salt in the water.]

How long should standing rigging last?

[In our environment around Galveston Bay, taking into consideration the salt content in the water, standing rigging will usually last 8 to 12 years.]

How long should new running rigging last?

[Running rigging will usually last 6 years.]

When is it time to inspect and tune my rigging?

[You should tune you rigging at least once each year.  If your boat is hauled out and on the hard for any length of time; the rigging should be inspected and turned again after being put back into the water]
